Meeting Dates and Topics
Friday, June 13th*
Good morning Bradenton Real Estate Club members and recent guests! Have you even driven a while without cleaning your front windshield? Despite the smears of lovebugs, moths, and grime, you kind of get used to driving with dirty vision. Then you clean it off the next time you fill up and discover how things should’ve looked. I had a similar experience at last Friday’s meeting. We only had 5 folks attend and I discovered that Mattison’s has a 10-person guarantee for the Aquarium room; it was a very expensive, but much-needed, wake up call for me. I’ve been so focused on making the club something different, that I’ve lost sight of some of the things that made it so valuable to the membership to begin with. So here are a few of my conclusions:
We will start the discussion/speaker part of the club at 12:15.
I will do a much better job moving through some of the before-speaker activities.
I will make sure to have quality speakers lined up for the membership.
I will have the updated website up and running by July 31.
I will tentatively schedule the first “Deal Day” for Friday July 25th.
We will be dismissed promptly at 1:15.
Believe me, this doesn’t affect my overall philosophy that a club should belong to its membership and we all should benefit from being part of it. Thanks to those who have shared these thoughts with me and allowed me to “clean the club windshield” so-to-speak and I anticipate moving ahead with more clarity and value in the weeks to come. Speaking of, this Friday should prove my dedication to the 6 conclusions listed above as I have secured one of the most practical and relevant speakers in the area. Greg Weinstein with HomeVestors will be talking about, “Wholesaling: It’s Not Just for Sams Club Members”. Hope you all can make it and feel free to bring a guest. Look forward to seeing you Friday!
